Secures and locks customer vehicles when returning vehicles to the parking lot areas upon completion of service.Road test vehicles after completion of services to ensure safe and satisfactory operating conditions.He/she will drive customers’ vehicles into and out of the shop area and is responsible for consistently displaying the highest quality of work and customer service.Safety and Housekeeping Responsibilities Installs seat covers, floor mats and steering wheel covers prior to entering a customer’s vehicle and removes them upon completion Ensures proper level of inspection is completed on each car per GEARS Process.Maintains average productive “billed labor hours” equivalent to 50% of hours worked (clocked hours) during any consecutive twelve week period.Maintains excellent customer service and the utmost respect for customer and company property as outlined in TBC Corporation’s policies and procedures.Returns rebuilt part cores, batteries and used tires to designated security areas for appropriate handling.Returns all unused parts to the service desk after the completion of service.Obtains the needed tires and/or parts necessary to perform the service(s) listed on the service work order.Ensures the service work order and any required forms/printouts are completed and returned to the service desk with the vehicle keys upon completion of the service.Ensures a valid service work order has been created when performing service on a vehicle.Meets or exceeds TBC Corporation’s performance standards for quality and speed of service to our customers.Operational Duties Performs basic and intermediate automotive services within the identified skills, knowledge and abilities for the position level as directed by the Store Management or their representatives The Automotive Mechanic is responsible for performing basic and intermediate automotive services in compliance with TBC Corporation’s policies, procedures, and quality standards as well as all municipal, state, and federal regulations.
